There are many quotes, speeches and stories that are there about following dream and achieving success. If you search for motivation dream following videos on YouTube, you will find multiple videos motivating and inspiring individuals to follow their dream. Whenever we discuss about dreams or passion vs Money, we will find individuals divided amongst groups. Some take sides bases on opinions, some on other's experiences and stories. 

What dreams and passion are about. Is that about being happy and satisfied and if yes what is the definition of being happy. Happiness for some is family, for some it is being a kid again, for some it is being with their dog. Happiness is a broad term and a person can be happy and satisfied by multiple ways. A person will be happy when he is with his dog and person will be happy when he is with family. He is happy in both the cases. The same is applicable to a person following passion and dream. They are also happy pursuing their passion and can be happy because of some other reasons.

Second term is satisfaction. What is satisfaction, is it about having good food or about providing others what they need or about enjoying what you are doing. Being in IT industry, for some successful deployment is satisfaction, for some it is bug free code, for some it is finding bug.

Satisfaction with life is the term that often pops up in the discussion. People say satisfaction with life is what the real satisfaction is about then what about the term life is made of small moments. If you are satisfied in those moments, you are satisfied in life. True? 

Passion, dream and doing what you love are very vague terms to be used. There many people who don't know what their passion is till the end of their time and there are people who know what they want to do and they have stage set or set their stage to achieve what they are after. Then comes the third kind of individuals who are in abundance these days. People who are on hash (#PunIntended). They don't know about passion and are passionate about other's passion. They are those who want to learn boxing after Beijing Olympics and who are found on badminton courts these days. People who say they are passionate about something normally won’t say but will do. They are the ones who believe in themselves and have clear idea. 

Does passion and dream constitute two ingredients of success? Yes, from short sight. But there are few other factors. Money is one of those factors that is often been regarded as taboo when having discussions about following dream. The reason is simple, people hate quantification. Happiness and satisfaction cannot be quantified and are in itself vague terms. If a person is passionate about shooting, from where he can buy guns and bullets and truly know where he stands on that front. Keeping those dreams aside for a moment and focus on the dreams which does not require money. A person passionate about dancing and lives in tier 2 or tier 3 city of India, teaches students dance and enjoys it (as per the satisfaction point). That person's Mom/Dad has a heart attack and needs immediate medical attention. That satisfied person will have regret for a life if that person has followed has dream rather than securing a position that would have given him/her necessary boost for taking care of her/his family and in nurturing his/her dream too. 

One thing that people do not realise is the third option. Dream and passion is not always 0 or 1. It is also about dwelling in digits after decimal.
